Volunteer Program

Here at Sahm GC we have started a new program that has been thus far a win-win for us and for folks that enjoy playing  and practicing at Sahm.  The Volunteer Program was started this year to solicit players to help in areas of pulling golf carts out for morning play, and clean and put carts away at the end of the evening.  So far the people that are participating in this program love the free golf, and the minimal amount of energy that is required to perform the task we need done.  Because of the success of this new program, we feel that we will be able to expand it into other areas of our golf business.  Please fill out the online application if you are interested or stop by the shop and fill out a short application.

New Features for Sahm GC Website

Some new things on our website that are worth taking a look at, are the Sahm Sellers.  We have done some test with this program and have had some success.  Tony Davidson (Assistant Golf Professional) sold three clubs to one of our internet customers.  The idea is that for a small fee ($5.00 per item) you can list your items, which are golf related on our site that has to date over 3000 members and growing.  This way you can sell your items to someone locally.  Avoid shipping fees and other surcharges that other sites charge for the same service.  You might have a pull cart, putter, old driver or complete set of clubs that you would like to sell.  We will list the item with your own description and price along with your email address, and buyers can contact you via email and you can negotiate price and transfer of equipment.  Stop by the shop and try it, you never know what you have that someone else is willing to pay you cash for.  Sahm Sellers a great way to buy and sell golf equipment. 

Junior Golf Camps – Coach Bill Mattingly

Registration for the Sahm GC Junior Golf Camps has begun.  Coach Mattingly is the new instructor for this years Junior Golf Camps.  Though he is new to Sahms Juniors, he is not new to golf instruction.  He is the Coach or Butler University Men’s and Women’s Golf teams.  He has been a PGA Golf Professional for over 30 years and has been involved with teaching and coaching kids for the past 10 years.  If you have a child age 7 to 17 that you would like to further their talents in the game of golf, then you will be pleased with what Sahm GC has to offer.  Classes are 4 days and there are 9 sessions to choose from.  The cost of the Junior Golf Camp is $90.00, which will cover the fundamentals of the golf swing, woods, irons and short game.  Your junior will have fun and learn the great game of golf.  Do not wait until the last minute to sign up sessions are already filling up.  For more info about the Junior Program go to www.sahmgolf.com and click on 2008 Junior Golf Camp.

Online Tee Times

Many of you are taking advantage of booking your reservation on the automated tee time service that we have installed.  What were hearing is that it is easy and less hassle.  Many times, we are so busy behind the counter that it is hard to get to every call quickly.  Alternatively, you have to be put on hold before you can book your time.  With the online reservation system, you can book whenever you like, 24 hours a day from the comfort of your home or work.  You do not have to keep calling because of a busy signal.  In addition, best of all, you can book your reservation outside the typical 7-day window that is restricted to phone in customers.  This is a secure site and none of your information is sold or distributed.  Next time you need a tee time try booking online and see how easy and hassle free this method is.  You will never need to call the shop again.

Internet Specials

We know that all of you are inundated with many email and, and many of which are spam emails.  We try to not send an over abundance of emails, however we do want to keep you informed on all Internet Specials that we are offering.  Last year if you a person was able to take advantage of every special that we ran, that player could have saved approximately $300.00.  That is a great savings considering the climate of our economy these days.  When you see something from Sahm GC take a look, we might be saving you money so that you can play more and spend less.

Sahm Golf Course is offering businesses the chance to become part of our Business Partners Program.  Sahm GC is a public course situated in the heart of the bustling Castleton Area and hosts over 40,000 rounds per year.  This is an opportunity to advertise and receive complimentary golf passes, that can be used by you, your staff, or your customers.  Each Business Partner receives recognition on the Business Partners Board in the clubhouse, play passes, listing on our website and discounts on outings.

Includes: 20 Play Passes (Includes golf cart).  Listing on Business Partner Board – visibly located in the clubhouse.  Discounted Outing prices.  Ability to place promo materials in the clubhouse.  Listing on our website.
